Vagina balls and vibrating eggs are similar in many ways. Yet they are very different in use and in the purpose of these sex toys. If you are planning to buy one of these products, it is important that you make the right choice. That’s why I briefly explain that for you below.
The similarities
Both vibrating eggs and vagina balls are meant to be inserted into the vagina.
… Well, yeah, and that’s kind of where the similarities end.
What are vibrating eggs?
Vibrating eggs are sold under many different names; vibrating eggs, love eggs, vibrating bullet, …
There are an incredible number of different vibrating eggs on the market. They usually contain a vibrator. Vibrating eggs are meant to excite the wearer of the egg. All vibrating eggs differ among themselves, especially in vibration strength, type of remote control (with or without a wire), shape and material.
Vibrating eggs are great to use with a partner and to experiment with. This way, you can hand over the remote control and let your partner decide when and how hard the egg vibrates. It gets even more fun when your partner can control the vibrating egg wirelessly. Some vibrating eggs can even be controlled with an app on your smartphone, opening up even more possibilities.
Use a little lubricant to make insertion and removal a little easier.
The very best vibrating egg out there – in my opinion – is the Lovense Lush 3. This one you control with an app and thus you not only have the option of having it controlled by someone who is in any place in the world, but also, for example, have it vibrate to sounds picked up by your smartphone. That makes every visit to a festival, the beach, the gym, or the cinema suddenly much more fun, I can tell you from experience!

What are vagina balls?
Vagina balls – how could it be otherwise – are also known by different names, such as kegel ball, yoni egg, power balls, pelvic floor trainer, kegel coach, ben wa balls, …
Not only the name differs from vibrating eggs. The shape and application is also different. Vagina balls come in a variety of shapes, sizes and materials. The main difference with vibrating eggs is that vagina balls by themselves do not provide excitement and pleasure. In fact, vagina balls are meant to train the sphincter and pelvic floor muscles. For that purpose, a vagina ball therefore always contains a weight. There are also sets with different weights and sizes, so they can be used to train your pelvic floor muscles at different stages.
Strong pelvic floor muscles are important because they can reduce or stop incontinence (urine leakage). But they also make an orgasm feel more intense. And, if you have very practiced muscles, you can also ‘milk’ a penis with them.
Most vagina balls also have a cord to make them easy to remove from the vagina. If they don’t have a cord, they are also called ‘ben wa balls’. To remove these, you have to sit in the squat position and squeeze them out or hook behind them with your fingers. Ben wa balls are for more advanced users who have good control of their pelvic floor muscles.
As with all muscles in your body, it is also the case with your pelvic floor muscles that you should train them two to three times a week. A ‘work out’ of 15 to 20 minutes at a time should be enough.
As soon as you insert a vaginal ball, your muscles will naturally tighten to keep the ball inside you. Now you can tighten and relax these muscles, a bit like you interrupt urination during urination.
I myself have used several kegel balls and I am most enthusiastic about the Svakom Nova and the LELO Luna kegel balls. Read some reviews here:
