On a normal day, more than 120 million people visit the porn site Pornhub. But now that companies are closed and entire countries are locked down due to the corona outbreak, people are at home in isolation. So what do you do? Right: watch porn! At Forbes‘ request, Pornhub analyzed how viewing behavior changed.
Worldwide porn consumption increased by 11.6%
Soon after the outbreak, people around the world were asked to stay at home as much as possible. Either in isolation or to work from home.
After Italy became the first European country to close its borders and quarantine the entire country, porn consumption increased by as much as 57%. Not least because Pornhub offered free premium to all Italians who were at home. Pornhub did the same in France and Spain and there too porn consumption increased (38.2% and 61.3% respectively).
We also watch more porn in the Netherlands and Belgium
Earlier we also noticed that since the outbreak corona related porn could be found on Pornhub.
