In 2008, husband and wife Bruce and Melody Murison from Ottawa (Canada) launched their first We-Vibe couples vibrator. Years later, in 2014, the German couple Michael and Brigitte Lenke did the same with the Womanizer. Early 2019, both couples decided to join forces in the company WOW Tech Group. And that was the beginning of a new We-Vibe toy with air pressure technology. Where the Womanizer is focusing on female masturbation, We-Vibe positions their Melt as – how could it be otherwise- a couples sex toy. The question remains, if that new toy works. Well, most definitely!

What is a We-Vibe Melt?

The We-Vibe Melt was introduced late 2018. It was presented as a small ‘Womanizer’, that would be ment for use by a couple during ‘penis-in-vagina’ (PiV) sex. All Womanizer models, including the smaller Womanizer Liberty, were not suitable for that, actually. Just because they are to big, and have a protruding ‘mouth’.

The entire idea of the We-Vibe Melt is, that you can place this toy in between you and your partner during sex, in order to give the female partner extra clitoral stimulation, enabling her to orgasm more easily.

The We-Vibe Melt uses, what they call, ‘Pleasure Air Technology’. The thing produces pulsating air pressure and suction, so it kind of mimics the feeling of someone sucking mildly on your clitoris.

Specs & functions

In contrast to most other air pressure sex toys, The We-Vibe Melt is made entirely of silicone. The device is small and handy; barely 13 centimeters long and a little under 3 centimeters wide. It only weighs 115 grams.

The + and – buttons allow you to scroll through 12 different intensity positions. Charging is done with a magnetic USB cable. After 90 minutes it is fully charged, so you can play with it for 2 hours in a row. On top of that, the We-Vibe Melt alerts you when the battery is almost empty. Further more, the We-Vibe Melt is very silent and fully waterproof.

Just like most other We-Vibe toys, you can operate the Melt through the We-Vibe Connect App. Anyone you allow access, will be able to operate the toy, regardless of where he or she is (and that can be fun) and you are able to create your own ‘vibration’patterns in the app.

Unboxing

We-Vibe knows how it’s supposed to be done. The box is, like with any of the toys of the brand, particularly neat and luxurious. When you open the lid, you will see the Melt gently sleeping in a fitting little bed.

The box contains a magnetic USB cable (90 centimeters. Very handy. Further more, a storage bag is included and a manual with clear pictures. The complete manual can also be found online on We-Vibe’s website. Really, We-Vibe leaves nothing to be desired.

Also nice, is a sample of Pjur water based personal lube. Just enough for first use. It’s not very strange that they added Pjur lube, because this brand is also part of the WOW Tech Group.  

The ‘test drive’

My wife and I just love We-Vibe and our love has now grown even more. From the moment we held the box, we were enthusiasts. This toy is nice and small and it comes very complete.

Straight from the box, the Melt is already charged, so you can start to play with it. When you push the + for a couple of seconds, it switches on. It doesn’t start at the lowest position, but somewhere in the middle. With the + and – buttons, you can now scroll trough the different levels of intensity. The different levels are close together, so it is almost like as if you can change settings continuously. If you hold the + or – a little longer, you go through the positions even faster. ‘She’ experienced the lowest position a bit like ‘throbbing’ and the highest position more like ‘buzzing’.

But what was the very very VERY best thing, was that the We-Vibe Melt was so small. It really fits in between the bodies. Seriously, you can use the Melt in all positions to give some extra attention to the clitoris. The + and – buttons are a bit difficult to operate in some positions, but – TADAAA – in that case the app comes in handy! So never forget to ‘pair’ your We-Vibe with your smartphone. It is super handy.

What is striking, is that the material is very soft. It attracts no dust and it is super silent. What’s not to love?

We definitely have a new favorite toy! Of course, ‘she’ can use it solo too, but contrary to the Womanizer, the Melt is really great to use together!

Cleaning

Pfff, easy-peasy! Just hold it under running water! Optionally you might use some mild soap or toy cleaner. How great is it, when toys are fully waterproof!

Conclusion

Forget Womanizer. Forget Satisfyer. Let’s all chant: “We-Vibe! We-Vibe!”

So, is there nothing wrong with this toy? Well, if I am really nitpicking; it is pink. And, call me a whiner, I just don’t think that is appropriate for a couples toy. I would have expected something more manly or neutral, like grey, bleu or black. But pink? Really, We-Vibe?
