The road to the German illustrator Helga Bode is paved with dead ends and confusing information. It’s not even sure if she was a she. Bode is known for her erotic drawings and watercolors of girls who were beaten, or beaten and enemas by authorities. They are said to be mostly autobiographical depictions of her childhood in the 1920s. She donated her art to her ex-therapist, who later sold it for publication in semi-scientific journals.
