In 2018, Tenga launched the Pixel series. These are sex toys for persons with a penis, which contains a spiral-shaped wire, through which it clings around the penis in an inventive way. Anyway, Tenga is now launching three new models of that series and Tenga asked me to test the Spinner 04. Well, “bring it on!” I said, because I know other Tenga models have never disappointed me.
Spoiler alert: This is another great Tenga invention!
What is the Tenga Spinner 04: Pixel?
The Tenga Spinner is a masturbator made of a soft and flexible material (elastomer), which you put over the penis and then move it up and down. There is a spiral wire in the spinner. When you move the Spinner over the penis, a vacuum is created, which tightens the spiral and creates extra ‘grip’. This is shown in the (SFW) video below:
There were already three variants (Tetra, Hexa en Shell), and another three variants will be added soon: Pixel, Beads and Brick. The difference between all these six models is the structure of the inside of the sleeve; that part that makes contact with the skin of your penis.
For example, the Pixel has small studs that are placed in a spiral shape and the Beads has more pronounced spheres. The structure of the Brick is more tile-shaped.
All Tenga Spinners are 14 cm long (but can be stretched to over 17 cm) and 4.5 cm in diameter. The entry diameter is a maximum of 5.5 cm. In short, suitable for almost all penises. All Spinners are reusable.
Unboxing the Tenga Spinner 04: Pixel
The Tenga Spinner comes in a tube with a printed cellophane around it. When you take off the cellophane you are left with a storage tube, which you can open. The tube contains the Spinner (in a cellophane, which I left under the sleeve for the photo to prevent dust from sticking to it). Furthermore, there is a small tube in the sleeve, which contains a sachet of lubricant for the first time use. And there is an instruction manual.
In short: very complete. If you put the Spinner back in the tube after use, I swear that no one will suspect that it is a sex toy. Very nice and discreet!
Taking the Tenga Spinner 04: Pixel for a test drive
If – like me – you have used Tenga masturbators before, then you are familiar with the soft elastomer. But if you have never had a Tenga masturator in your hands: This material is super soft, flexible and stretchable.
However, a big difference with the other models is that there is some kind of iron wire in the material. Incidentally, that wire does not come into contact with the skin. On the inside are small nubs that go along the skin when masturbating. And all the way in the top is a somewhat thicker bulb that massages the glans.
To use the Spinner you need to put some water-based lubricant in the Spinner and around the opening. Otherwise it is almost impossible to penetrate the sleeve. It comes with a small bag of lubricant, but that’s only enough for one time use, so don’t forget to order some extra lubricant.
Well, and then the real ‘work’ … That thread is really a great invention. With every movement you pull the Spinner vacuum. Not only will you feel a wonderful suction, but the wire will tighten comfortably around your penis for extra grip. As a result, you can feel the soft nubs on the inside massaging your penis. Really. Awesome!
Cleaning
Tenga says cleaning is a breeze. Well, that may be the case, but it is a bit less easy than with other models. You see, I am used to turning the Tenga sleeves inside out. Then you can easily clean them under the tap, possibly with some mild soap. Well, not with the Spinner. You cannot reverse this because of the thread. So you have to fill the Spinner with water under the tap and then rinse it out. Sort of like you would rinse a bottle. That works, but it is less easy to make sure that the inside is really completely clean.
Then you put that white cap (that contained that sachet of lubricant, remember?) Back in the sleeve and the sleeve back in the storage tube.
Conclusion
Wow, Tenga … this is great! Tenga knows how to use physics to create a fantastic experience – without motors and complicated controls. Vacuum, grip, friction, the soft flexible material: this is truly unique. Anyone with a penis should give this a try!
Oh, and I keep saying, a masturbator like this isn’t just for solo sex. It is also great fun to use with a partner!
