Japanese sex toy firm Tenga has been making very innovative sex toys for years. Recently they launched a new series called ‘GEO’. This series consists of the Tenga Geo Aqua, the Tenga Geo Coral and the Tenga Geo Glacier. Tenga sent me the latter and asked me to review it.
Spoiler alert: The Tenga Geo Glacier is not only beautifully designed, it is also a great masturbator!
Why should you use a masturbator? And if so, how?
It seems that sex toys are almost always designed for women. And – don’t get me wrong – it’s great that they’re there, because of the orgasm gap and stuff. But what if you have a penis? Why would you only have to rely on your hands? Everyone knows that 85% of men admit to masturbating regularly and the other 15% lie. So why shouldn’t a man use tools?
Fortunately, there are also sex toys that you can use if you have a penis. These are often so-called ‘sleeves’ that go around the penis and that you have to move up and down by hand. They differ in material, opening and structure on the inside.
What is a Tenga Geo Masturbator?
The Tenga Geo masturbators immediately stand out because of its design; they are very beautifully designed white balls, that make you immediately wonder what it is. At first you don’t think of a sex toy and that makes them very discreet.
But it also makes you wonder what the intention is exactly? And that – dear friends – is actually deceptively simple. You can turn the ball inside out. Et voila: you have a masturbator!

The three different Tenga Geos differ only in structure. The Aqua has waves, the Coral star shapes and the Glacier has geometric triangles.
Unboxing the Tenga Geo Glacier
At first I was surprised by the packaging. Not only did it make me wonder what de deal was, I was also intermediately intrigued by the design. You see, the Tenga Geo is a kind of ‘orb’. Kinda like the kitschy snow globe with a winter landscape in it, or something. But looks can be deceiving!
The bottom of the package contains a kind of secret lid. It hides an instruction booklet and a sachet with lubricant. If you take off the transparent cap you will see that the Geo is a kind of soft fluffy ball that is attached to a plateau.

You wonder how such a perfect ball can work as a masturbator? I did. But if you take the ball off the plateau, it quickly becomes clear. You are supposed to turn the Geo inside out. The shape then changes into a kind of large and soft egg.
The Tenga Geo Glacier test drive
The material of the Tenga Geo (elastomer) feels extremely soft and flexible. Elastomer is a type of rubber that is body safe, but also porous. However, there is little reason for panic for men, because an infection is not likely to occur. But because it is a porous material, there is a risk that it will eventually become smelly if you do not clean it thoroughly after use and let it dry well.
Before reversing, the opening appears very spacious, but after reversing the shape of a sphere changes into an egg and the opening appears much tighter. Don’t ask me how Tenga gets this done, but I thought it was amazing.
If you do not have any lubricant at home, you can use the Tenga lubricant sachet. I personally find the supplied lubricant a bit sticky. That’s why I used my favorite lube: Pjur Cool. It also contains menthol, which gives you the extra feeling of a cold glacier (delicious!).
I have already reviewed several Tenga products, but I must say that this was by far the softest. The material is very flexible and stretchable. This allows you to decide how hard or soft you squeeze and where exactly you want to feel the most stimulation. The internal structure of the Glacier feels wonderful. This is so much better than your own hand!
Speaking of which: why would you only use your own hand? With a little creativity you can use this Tenga Geo in many more ways. Give the Geo to your partner and ask him or her to use it to satisfy you! Or put the Geo (with the structure on the outside) around the head of a wand vibrator! The possibilities are endless…
Reusable? What about cleaning?
Well, look, here I found the Tenga Geo really brilliant! You should always turn masturbators inside out to clean. Often that is quite difficult. But with the Tenga Geo that is a piece of cake.
You can simply rinse the Geo under the tap. You can use some mild soap or toy cleaner, but you don’t have to.
But then it becomes really brilliant. To guarantee a long life of a masturbator it is important that you dry it well after cleaning. And because you can simply place the Geo back inside out on the platform it came with, that’s a piece of cake.
Conclusion
Tenga once again pleasantly surprised me with this new Tenga Geo Glacier. Not only does it have a design that is very attractive, but it also turns out to be very functional. Anyone with a penis that ever masturbates (and that’s half of the world’s population) should give this masturbator a try!
Pros:
- Very soft and flexible material (elastomer)
- Beautiful and discreet design
- Pleasant stimulating structure
- Reusable
- Very easy to clean and dry
- Easy to store in the original packaging
Cons:
- Elastomer is a porous material, which can cause bacteria to form (cleanse and dry well)
