As the Tenga Egg celebrates its 10th anniversary, the Japanese sex toy company released a special series of their famous Tenga Egg, under the name “Tenga Egg Wonder”. Tenga sent me a six-pack of these new eggs in exchange for an honest review.
What are Tenga Eggs again?
Despite the fact that the Tenga Egg has been around for 10 years, I can imagine that you have never heard of them. And that’s a shame, because anyone who owns a penis, or is in a relationship with someone with a penis, and even people who own a wand vibrator, should at least try one once.
Tenga Easy Beat Eggs are ingenious masturbation aids in the shape of an egg. They are made of super stretchy and soft material (Thermoplastic Elastomer (TPE)). This is a body safe material. The egg is hollow inside and each type of egg has its own structure on the inside. The idea is, that you put the egg with the help of some (included) lubricant over the penis. By moving the egg up and down with your hand, you massage the penis. Because of the soft structure on the inside, you experience an extra stimulation that you normally don’t experience if you only use your hand.
Unboxing Tenga Easy Beat Egg Wonder Package
The references to eggs go beyond the form. ‘Easy Beat’ is of course a very funny reference to ‘beating an egg’ on the one hand, and to jerking off on the other. That’s why it’s actually very funny that the eggs are also sold as a six-pack in an egg rack. But really!
Tenga is a master at coming up with packaging that is “lighthearted” anyway. An unsuspecting person might just think that they’re not sex toys, but something completely different. Candy, or something like that. Only if you read the packaging carefully will you see ‘Adult concept’ somewhere. And of course you will not find these items at the local supermarkt or in any toy store.
Each egg is individually wrapped. And each color represents a different internal structure. The Wonder Package contains six different eggs: Wind, Stud, Mesh, Tube, Curl and Ring.
The test drive
I’ve used a Tenga Egg (many) times before and the concept is as simple as it is clever. To use the egg, you simply remove the shrink wrap from the egg. Inside the egg is a tube containing a tiny instruction sheet and a packet of lubricant (for single use). Put some of the lube in the egg and then place the egg over the glans. Move the egg up and down and …. your good to go. Or cum.
Tenga Eggs are meant for single use, but if you are a little careful and clean them properly after use, you can use them up to 10 times or so before they break down. Wash them out under the faucet with lukewarm water and let them dry inside out. Turn the egg right again, put the tube back in and store it in the shell until next use.
In all honesty, I feel little difference between the different textures. However, that does not make me any less enthusiastic about the Tenga Eggs. I find them really great to use when masturbating and also my partner enjoys using them when she gives me a hand-job.
But wait … you said something about a wand-vibrator?
Yes, I see you have been paying close attention. Indeed. Something Tenga doesn’t tell you is that the Tenga Egg is ideally suited for use on a wand vibrator. To do this, turn the egg inside out and put it over the head of your wand vibrator. Because the eggs are so flexible, they always fit, regardless of the size of the head of your wand vibrator. This way, you can also use the eggs on other erogenous zones!
Conclusion
Tenga Eggs are really a lot of fun! They are easy to use, not expensive, and very nice for solo sex, as an aid to manual sex with your partner (if they own a penis), or as an extra attachment for your wand vibrator.
Is there much difference between the different eggs? Mwah., it’s minimal. But that doesn’t make them any less fun!
By the way, I’m not a big fan of Tenga’s lubricant. It’s a bit viscous and threads a lot. Also, it contains some ingredients that I’d rather not find in a lube. So consider using your own water-based lube.
The PROS
- Pleasantly soft and body safe material
- Fine extra stimulation during manual sex, alone or by a partner
- Cheap
- Can be used a few times (contrary to what Tenga recommends)
- Small, easy to carry (for pleasure on the go)
- Unobtrusive and discreet (“is that an Easter egg in your bag?”)
- Can also be used as an attachment for your wand vibrator
The CONS
- It makes a sopping sound (but that’s really nitpicking)
- The lube threads and has some suspicious ingredients
A Tenga Egg is great fun for solo use or with a partner. I highly recommend it to anyone with a penis or who has a partner with a penis.
Tenga Eggs come in all kind of structures. They are available in the NBRplaza shop and in the Official Tenga Store.
