Willie.nl has its own brand of masturbators that go by the name of STROKR. A smart name, don’t you think? And I was very curious to test those. Willie.nl send two of their STROKR masturbators to me, in exchange of an honest review.

STROKR: 9 different sex toys for men

In 2019, Willie.nl launched a series of masturbators under their private label STROKR. Thes series consist of:

• STROKR XL: Three different ‘fleshlight’-like masturbators with a hard ‘pocket’ and an entrance shaped like a mouth, a pussy or ass.
• STROKR Vibra XL: The same three masturbators, but now with a vibrating function.
• STROKR Rocket: Three somewhat smaller masturbator sleeves, without a hard pocket, also in mouth, pussy and ass.
• A party package, consisting of a STROKR XL Pussy, a STROKR Rocket Fluffy Mouth, lube, toy cleaner, a set of cock rings and erection cream.

I received two STROKR Vibra XL models: The STROKR Vibra XL Pussy Rider and the STROKR Vibra XL Fluffy Mouth.

Both masturbators are in fact practically identical. The ‘sleeves’ of noth models is made from the same supersoft TPE. They both come in the same black hard plastic ‘pocket’. And the structure on the inside of both sleeves is identical. Both come with the same remote control, that can be attached to the pocket with a cable. Using the remote, you can operate a bullet that fits in the sleeve. This bullet has 7 different speeds. The only difference between the two models is that the entrance: one is shaped like a mouth and the other is shaped like a vulva.

Both masturbators have a really decent packaging with a nice design. This promises a lot! The box contains the masturbator, a cable and a remote.

When you screw of the cap, the entrance of the masturbator becomes visable (in my case a mouth and an ass respectively). When you unscrew the bottom, you will be able to see the small bullet vibrator. You are supposed to place the sleeve into the pocket, place the bullet in the sleeve, screw back the bottom, connect the cable to the remote and the bottom cap.

Then you place the batteries in the remote and you’re ‘good to go’.

The ‘test drive’

I am not very enthusiastic about these STROKR Vibra XL masturbators. Why not?

It all started whith the unboxing. The package of both STROKRs clearly mention it takes 1 AAA battery.

When you place one battery in the remote, nothing happens with the bullet vibrator. No manual is included, so you are on your own. Now, this isn’t really rocket science, but still it took me some time before I realized that I needed to place some additional batteries in the remote. With three batteries, the remote was all full and – hooray – it worked!

The first time I tested a masturbator with vibrating function, I thought it was quite clever. But that one had no bullet vibrator, so I had to get one from one of my other toys. And when I placed that bullet there was no way I could operate it. So I was rather glad that STROKR came up with a solution for that.

The remote of the STROKR is very simple: Just a tilt button that allows you to scroll through the different positions.

The sound of the vibrator is muffled when you put ‘something’ in the masturbator. So far so good.

But there are two major issues with the vibrations. First off, the bullet is just far to weak. TPE is a kind of soft rubber, that absorbs almost all vibrations. You will feel almost no vibrations at all. The second issue, is that the bullet goes in the same ‘channel’ as the penis. The penis goes in at the top and the bullet at the bottom. The bullet comes with a reasonably long cable, allowing you to shove it into a big end of the sleeve. But when you start to move the masturbator up and down, you might collide onto the bullet. I did, and it was an annoying feeling. Not just that you hit something hard, but the high frequency vibrations just felt unpleasant. And when you place the bullet less far up the sleeve, you will not be able to feel anything.

And another thing. The package also mentions that the masturbator is waterproof. Well, I dare to doubt that! Of course that goes for the normal non-vibrating STROKR XL types, but I would never take these – with me into the bathtub. Most definitely it will get filled up with water and water will get into contact with the wires of the bullet. I am also sure that the remote is not waterproof. It won’t kill you, but it will most definitely reduce the life of your bullet and remote.

And then the structure on the inside of the sleeves. Well, there is actually none. When you turn the sleeve inside out, you will notice a few small bums and minimal ribs. En dan de structuur aan de binnenkant van de sleeve. They will hardly give you any kind of stimulation at all.

Fortunately, the sleeve is really tight. So tight, it is impossible to enter it without some lube. And yeah, I like that!

With any type of TPE masturbator, you should always use water based lube, or it would destroy your sleeve.

But then there is the sound. Not the sound of the vibrations, but from escaping air. When you use the masturbator, air escapes somewhere. I just couldn’t find out where, so I just couldn’t cover it to mute it (or to increase the suction, like with some Tenga’s).

Cleaning

Normally, cleaning a masturbator is very easy. You just remove the sleeve from the pocket, turn it inside out, wash it under running water, dry it, turn it back and put it in the pocket. Done. Just use some warm water and some mild soap.

Not with the STROKRs. First of all, the sleeves are so tight, that it is quite difficult to turn them inside out. You’ll need to use some strength.

But watch out with cleaning the pocket. First remove the bottom cap and the bullet. I am pretty sure it can’t take the water. Then wash it and dry it. Then replace the sleeve. You’ll need to pull the sleeve into position. THen replace the bullet and screw back both caps.

“Well, well, is that so much work?”, I hear you say. No, it isn’t. But since there is no manual, and the box gives you some misleading information (waterproof), it is something you need to think about yourself!

Don’t even bother using toy cleaner. TPE is a porous material. No toy cleaner can cope with that. When you want to make your sleeve last longer, you might want to powder some renewing powder on it.

Conclusion

Without vibrations, this is a fine masturbator. It fits nicely into your hand, just like ant other similar masturbators. The sleeve’s material is not only soft, but – in contrast to some other brands – also not sticky.

The sleeve is nice and tight and whether you like mouths, pussies, or asses, the feeling with the STROKR models is exactly the same.

The vibrating function however, doesn’t make any sense. This is a fine masturbator, for a fine price, but do yourself a favour and buy a STROKR XL without vibrator. Really, you won’t miss a thing, and you also won’t have issues with batteries and wires, while cleaning.

• Strange noise of escaping air during use
