I like vibrating cock rings. Really, I do. And my partner too. So when Satisfier came up with some “app controlled” cock rings, I couldn’t wait to test one.
Spoiler alert: This has not been well thought out!
What is the Satisfier Mighty One App Controlled Cockring?
As the name suggests, the Satisfier Mighty One is a cock ring with vibrations that you can (also) control with an app on your smartphone. This cock ring comes from a series, consisting of a Powerfull One, Strong One, Royal One and Mighty One.
Since I only own the Mighty One, I can’t tell you what the differences are, other than that the design differs.
The Mighty One is a blue silicone penis ring, which restricts blood flow, giving you a harder erection, which also lasts longer. There are 3 continuous vibrations and 7 patterns.
What is relatively new is that Satisfyer has an app for your smartphone; the Satisfyer Connect App. The Mighty One is one of the toys you can control with this app. This actually gives you many more options.
The Mighty One is completely waterproof, so you can take it with you in the shower or bath. Cleaning is therefore also very easy. Charging is done with a magnetic USB cable.
Unboxing the Satisfyer Mighty One
Since the restyling of Satisfyer a while ago, the packaging makes me happy again and again. They look refreshing, stylish and modern. I immediately feel like unpacking it and trying it out!
The packaging has a kind of cover. When you open it, you immediately see the product behind a kind of viewing glass. Very smart. Because I was impatient, I made no effort to figure out exactly how to open the box. I just tore the cardboard to get my hands on the product as soon as possible.
The Mighty One turns out to be a compact cock ring that feels very tight when I put it on two fingers. But with not too much effort, the ring can be stretched so far that I can put all my fingers in it.
In addition to the cock ring, there is also a charging cable and three booklets (a manual, the warranty and some other warnings).
So far I was very enthusiastic!
The free Satisfyer Connect App
The Satisfyer Connect App (the name is not very original, but then again, Satisfyer is not really known for its originality) can be downloaded for free from the App Store of Apple or Google.
I have to admit that the Satisfyer Connect App works great. There is nothing to criticize about that. Pairing the app with the toy was very easy, the app has many help texts and everything worked properly in one go. You can link multiple Satisfyer toys to the app (if your Satisfyer toy is equipped with bluetooth).
The app offers various options for operating your toy. You can increase or decrease the vibration speeds with your finger on the screen. It is also nice that you can save the pattern afterwards. You can also make the vibrations respond to sounds in the environment, or to music from your media files. You can even pair it with your Apple Watch and make the vibrations react to movements of your wrist! Think how much fun jerking can be!
The great thing is that it works really well. That may sound obvious, but with Satisfyer you never know.
Taking the Mighty One for a test drive
Unfortunately, the disappointment already starts with charging. Has no one at Satisfyer been paying attention? The Mighty One has the same charging cord as all other (recent) Satisfyer toys. But the connection points on the cock ring are not at the same distance as those on the cord. Hey?! WTF! And the magnets aren’t too strong either, so it just doesn’t fit really well. You really have to work with the utmost precision. The cable will let go for the slightest thing. FUCK YOU, CABLE!
The ring is indeed nice and tight, but because it is also very flexible, it will still fit almost any penis.
But then the operation.
To operate the Mighty One, you must first switch it on with a very large button. Every time you press the button you go to the next mode. That seems useful until you use it with your partner. Because, then the cock ring actually gets between your bodies. And if you exert a little bit of pressure (and you want to, because you don’t want to move in and out, but rather rub against each other, so that you as the receiving party feel the vibrations well), then you keep pressing with your body against that large button. And then you unwittingly go through the programs. Who came up with this?
And then the vibrations. Look, if you – as mentioned above – use the Coïtal Alignment Technique, the receiving party feels the vibrations best. But with the best will in the world, I (the person with the penis) felt absolutely nothing. Nothing. Zip. Nada. Yes, I felt the ring squeeze my penis, but the vibrations don’t resonate in the ring at all. That is really different with other cock rings.
OK, when my partner was on top and operated the app, it was all very entertaining for her. And because of the tight ring I indeed had a hard(er) erection. But the feeling that Satisfyer could have gotten more out of this continued to dominate me.
Conclusion
Satisfyer just hasn’t given much thought to the user experience of this thing. The charger doesn’t connect properly, the control knob is in the wrong place, and the vibrations don’t resonate enough for the wearer (the person with the penis). For the partner, the Satisfyer Mighty One offers nice added value.
The app works great. For sure.
The PROS of the Satisfyer Mighty One:
- Nice modern packaging
- Tight ring that is very flexible
- The free app works great
The CONS:
- The charging cord does not connect properly
- The control knob is in the wrong place, causing you to unintentionally change programs during use
- The vibrations cannot be felt at all in the wearer’s penis
- And while I’m still complaining: there is also no storage bag
