This way, you do not only have access to the 7 standard vibration patterns, but you can also create your own patterns. Or you can hand over the operation to someone else. That can even be someone on the other side of the world. As long as your smartphone has a bluetooth connection and you are both connected via the app.

In short, the Lovense Gush is a vibrator that you can use while jerking off, or during other stimulating games with your penis (such as edging).

Unboxing

The Lovense Gush comes in a high-quality box with a picture of the Gush. On the back it says in many languages what you can expect. In the box you will also find, besides the Gush, a rubber band (more about this later), a charging cable, a quick set up guide and a more extensive manual. And, as it should be, a storage bag (hooray!).

The quick start guide shows in a few icons how to operate the Gush and what functions it has. That is all you really need. The extensive manual gives you extra information, for instance about cleaning, and some user tips. More extensive information can also be found on the website of Lovense. Really, it doesn’t get any easier than this.

The test drive with the Lovense Gush

I am a big fan of Lovense products, so I was quite excited to review the Gush. But I will also say that I was sceptical. Similar masturbators (with wings) often have little ‘grip’. Therefore, you often can’t use that kind of masturbator ‘hands-free’. However, Lovense has found a solution in the form of an elastic band (or as they call it: the optional band). This elastic band looks a bit like a wristband and is a few centimeters wide. In the manual, the intention is not really explained, but if you look closely at the pictograms, you can see the concept: The idea is that you put the Gush around the penis and then put the elastic band around it. This strengthens the grip.

I already have several Lovense products and I have connected them to the app on my phone. That is really easy. When you turn on the Gush it makes a sound. If you then start the app and click on ‘add device’ the app finds the Gush within seconds. Then you can control it by moving your finger across the screen. If you are like me and have several Loven devices, you can even control them simultaneously with the app! So much fun!

The vibrations are very pleasant on the glans and the frenulum. There are three constant vibrations and four patterns. They all feel very pleasant. But it’s much more fun to make your own patterns or to hand over the control. Suppose you lie tied up on the bed. Your partner attaches the Gush to the head of the penis and puts the elastic band around it. Then your partner uses his or her phone to control the Gush. Yes? Got the picture? The possibilities are endless.

However, it is advisable to apply some water-based lubricant to the penis and/or the inside of the Gush. You can easily rinse it off later under the tap with some lukewarm water.

Conclusion

This toy is really recommended if you have a penis yourself, or if you have a partner with a penis. It is perfect for self-gratification, but it is also an excellent toy to play with together, even (or especially) when you are not near each other. And if you already have another Lovense toy, then you can use the app to control all of them at once!
