Kim Kardashian West and Lady Gaga love it: Latex. It is a natural and vegan material that we mainly know from porn and club scene. But now it seems to dominate the catwalks (no pun intended).
Paris Fashion Week
During the Paris Fashion Week earlier this month, Kim Kardashian West appeared in a mustard-colored latex bodysuit designed by Balmain’s Olivier Rousteing. But Kim wasn’t alone in latex.
There was also a lot of attention for this shiny material on the catwalk. The Saint Laurent collection consisted of latex leggings and Off-White also showed a lot of interest in latex. Harikrishnan, graduate from the London College of Fashion, showed inflatable latex pants that went viral on social media.
Latex is seen as a hyper-sexy material that fits closely and thereby accentuates the shapes of the wearer. Designers such as Alexander McQueen, Versace and Gareth Pugh have also applied the material in an atmosphere of decadence.
Although latex has a synthetic appearance, it is also completely vegan and organic. The material is extracted from the juices of a Brazilian rubber tree. This is partly the reason that the vegan designer Stella McCartney uses it as a replacement for leather.
It is therefore to be expected that we will see a lot of latex in the fashion scene in the autumn of 2020. From dresses to skirts and leggings and boots.
Latex clothing: the basics
Not everyone can afford expensive designer clothes. And that is why it is so special that the well-known designers have been inspired by fetish clothing. Because this fetish clothing doesn’t have to be that expensive at all. And as the Paris Fashion Week shows, it is mainly about combining a few latex basic garments with blazers and jackets.
Your wardrobe cannot do without these basic garments this fall.
First of all, leggings should not be missing. With that you give every outfit a challenging twist. The legging on the picture on the right is made of Datex and is from the brand Guilty Pleasure.
Datex is a latex that is lined with fabric on the inside. This makes the leggings easy to put on and take off. It is also more comfortable to wear than regular latex. The latex cannot stick to the skin due to the inner lining. Wear the leggings with a blazer or jacket and show your most challenging side!
Another basic that should not be missing is the latex pencil skirt. Due to the light stretch material you always have a perfect fit. It sits like a second skin and provides a tough, erotic appearance.
You can combine a basic skirt like this in many different ways. Wear it with exciting clothing, challenging lingerie or something like that and show off your toughest side.
In addition to a skirt and leggings, you can also make many different outfits with a latex dress. Such a dress is daring, unique and sensational to wear! This black latex dress from Latexwear envelops your body in exciting tight latex that makes your feminine shapes come out challenging. It feels like a second skin and gives you the ultimate latex sensation. The stylish color ensures that all attention is drawn to the right places while you enjoy the latex that touches your skin.
Finally, complete your wardrobe with a catsuit, such as this one from Datex. With this you create the looks of latex and the convenience of a normal catsuit! The red catsuit is made entirely of latex but has a soft inner layer. As a result, the latex does not stick to the skin and is quick and easy to put on and take off. The latex catsuit covers the entire body and has a long zipper at the back.
These are just a few examples of latex clothing from our fetish collection, which are easy to combine and look great in your everyday outfit. Also view our full latex collection. If you want to know more about wearing and maintaining latex, read this blog post.
