For years, the Icicles No 18 has been on my wish list and finally we have one! Sinful sent this beautiful glass dildo in exchange for an honest review.

What is the Icicles No 18?

The Icicles No. 18 is a slightly curved glass G-spot dildo, of which the shaft has a texture with beautiful blue bumps. Both ends can be used for insertion. On one end you will find a tapered tip and on the other two bulbs.

What makes this glass dildo so special is its design. In one of the spheres, a red flower was incorporated during the glass-blowing process. And I fell in love with that design years ago. But I never got around to buying one myself.

Unboxing

This toy comes in a large box with pictures of the product on each side. The front of the box has a magnetic closure, which opens a kind of door. When you do, you see the glass dildo behind a plastic window. Strangely enough, you cannot take the dildo out of the box this way. For that, you have to open the top or bottom of the box. The dildo is in a polystyrene mould. Unfortunately (and also a bit disappointing), there is no storage pouch with the Icicles No 18.

The test drive with the Icicles No 18 Glass Dildo

Due to its length and weight, this toy fits comfortably in the hand. The spherical shapes at both ends also effectively serve as a handle.

The design of this dildo is really fantastic. The beautiful red flower makes it a jewel for your bedside table. The shaft is slightly curved and contains a texture of bumps made of blue glass. It is not painted and therefore does not stain! This is important, because you don’t want dyes in your most intimate parts.

Like all Icicles glass toys, the No 18 dildo is made of borosilicate glass. This is the type of glass that is also used for oven dishes, medical instruments and laboratory glassware (test tubes). So it is not the same material that windows or drinking glasses are made of. Borosilicate glass is virtually unbreakable. Okay, if you drop it from the third floor onto concrete, it might not stay intact, but in normal use (sex) it is impossible to break. Even if it falls from the bed to the floor, it will not break easily. It can also withstand temperature changes (oven dishes, remember?). Glass is cool to the touch – which is nice in itself – but you can cool it further under a cold tap or in the fridge, or heat it up under a hot tap. But be careful not to overdo it.

After we – my partner and I – first marvelled at the beautiful design and how nice it feels in the hand, the main question was: how does it perform?

We used a little bit of lubricant, just because lubricant makes everything just a little bit nicer. First we experimented with inserting the tapered end. The toy slid easily into my partner’s vagina and she said she could clearly see the bumps. By tilting the Icicles No 18 a little, the tip came deep and firm against the G-spot. By rocking it a little, it was quite easy to arouse an orgasm. The other end worked perfectly as a handle, even if it was slippery from lubricant. You could also use the tapered part for anal, but we refrained from doing so because there is no good or sufficient stop on the other end.

When inserting the other – bubbling – end of the toy, the bubbles felt pleasant to my partner. The bubbles easily reached her G-spot and worked best with thrusting movements. This is also when the texture of the shaft can be best observed. The tapered end was equally easy to use as a handle too.

The dildo itself feels wonderfully cool and that effect remains for a while until the material has taken on your body temperature. The relatively heavy weight also makes this toy give you an extra feeling of being ‘filled’.

The Icicles No 18 is also great to use together with other toys, for example a wand vibrator on the clitoris.

Cleaning

Cleaning a glass toy – and therefore the Icicles No 18 – is ‘rete’ simple. Just rinse it off under the tap and use some mild or antibacterial soap if necessary. You could even put the Icicles No 18 in the dishwasher!

Conclusion

Well, what can I say? The Icicles No 18 is perhaps the most beautiful glass toy in the world. But apart from the design, this is also an excellent G-spot dildo with two ends that each offer different stimulation. If the Njoy Pure Wand is the best metal dildo, then the Icicles No 18 is the best glass dildo. We think so. This is a dildo that will last you a lifetime!
