When my friends at the European e-commerce company Sinful asked me if I wanted to test, I didn’t have to think long. After all, Fun Factory’s Cobra Libre II has been on my wish list for a long time. Why? Read on!

What is the Fun Factory Cobra Libre II?

The Fun Factory Cobra Libre II is a vibrator for your glans. It’s a small and handy device that probably won’t fit your entire erection, but it doesn’t have to. Your glans goes into a soft silicone cylinder that surrounds your glans. With two motors, it vibrates against your frenulum. The controls are simple but effective. The thing has many – lots of – modes and therefore you can choose whether you want to get to discharge quickly, or enjoy it for a nice long time.

Fun Factory goes on to do its best to add to the diversity of this penis vibrator, with some fun suggestions. In addition to solo use, they recommend, for example, that you have a partner with a vagina grind the device when you use it. The vibrations should be felt by her as well, adding another extra position to your sex life. Unboxing

I had a double feeling when unpacking the Fun Factory Cobra Libre II. On the one hand, I was very happy with the colorful and luxurious packaging, which not only provides enough information, but also contains – on the inside – some fun tips and games. I will come back to that. But for a company that says they pay a lot of attention to sustainability and minimizing their “carbon footprint,” I do think they need a bit much packaging material.

The packaging consists of a sort of cardboard sleeve that wraps around a gold-colored box. Inside that box is the Cobra Libre II, a charging cord, a colorful and very informative manual with lots of suggestions, a somewhat more technical manual and a card that tells you how the travel lock works. The latter is not unimportant, by the way, because upon arrival home, the travel lock is on! So to use it for the first time, you have to deactivate it (by pressing the FUN and the + button simultaneously).

But if you look closely at the cardboard sleeve, it is also printed on the inside:

How fun is that! It includes a so-called “yes/no/maybe” list that you and your partner can fill out together. The idea is that you both tick which possibilities of the Cobra Libre you do or do not want to try out and which ones you are still unsure about. If you fill these in separately and compare them, you might come to nice new insights. Anyway, we (my partner and I) thought that was funny.

The manual is also fun and includes suggestions for playing with your partner:

For example, on the back you will find a truth or dare game that you play with a coin. Head is flirt, coin is dare. There are lists of suggested truth and dare questions and even suggested prizes (like the loser makes an after sex snack).

I don’t think I’ve ever spent so much text and pictures on an “unboxing” accompanying a review, but with this one I thought it was appropriate. Fun fun fun fun, but a bit much paper and cardboard, right?

The test drive with the Fun Factory Cobra Libre II

For this test run, I left Fun Factory’s suggestions aside for the moment. First, let’s try “just” solo what this penis vibrator can do.

What stands out is that the Cobra Libre II fits comfortably in the hand. It weighs little and the buttons are in an ergonomic place. You can insert your penis into the Cobra Libre even in a flaccid state and arouse yourself by the vibrations. But you can also choose to generate an erection first and then put the Cobra Libre on your penis. Either way, some water-based lubricant is nice because it makes movement easier.

Don’t forget to clean your sex toy the first time and to remove the Cobra Libre from the travel position!

As with any Fun Factory toy, the buttons are easy to find and operate. When you turn on the Cobra Libre II, it starts with a constant vibration. The ‘+’ and ‘-‘ buttons allow you to vary the intensity. Fun Factory has a very unique way of going through the patterns. If you press ‘+’ in the highest constant intensity, you go to the first vibration pattern. But once you’re in the patterns, you keep switching between patterns with the ‘+’. Only with the ‘-‘ button, you can go back to the constant vibration pattern. I find that very clever.

The Cobra Libre II has two motors that cannot be controlled separately. Instead, the idea is that the vibrations sync up, giving a unique sensation. By rotating the Cobra Libre II, you can provide even more sensations because you will experience the vibrations differently. I must say that because of the many patterns, you can always find one that suits your mood. Remarkably, the motors – unlike many other motorized masturbators – are very quiet!

Cleaning and maintenance

Because the Cobra Libre II is 100% waterproof, cleaning is a breeze. Just rinse under lukewarm water. If necessary, use some mild soap or toy-cleaner (but not really necessary). Dry well and store. Too bad there is (again) no storage bag included!

Furthermore, you can easily charge the Cobra Libre II with the included magnetic USB cord. The first time it takes – according to Fun Factory) 16 hours for that, but then you can play for 90 minutes.

Conclusion

I am a big fan of the Fun Factory brand. The Fun Factory Manta was already my favorite, but this one has now joined it. In fact, I think I might take them into the bath together sometime soon! If you are looking for a high-quality penis vibrator, I would definitely consider the Fun Factory Cobra Libre II.
