Vibrating eggs are little vibrators that can be inserted in the vagina, or that you can hold against erogenous areas of the body. With a remote control you can vary the vibrations, but it’s much more exciting to hand over the control to your partner. Just imagine what you can do when you go out together and one of you carries the egg while the other has the remote. How exciting will that movie suddenly become? Or that dinner? Vibrating eggs, or love eggs, are therefor perfect for naughty couples.
EasyToys asked us to test the Luv Egg in exchange for an honest review. Our experience with these kinds of love eggs differs a lot. Most of the times they are generally a lot of fun during foreplay, because the vibrations are often too soft to orgasm on. On top of that, they often have a very poor remote. We decided to test the Luv Egg with an open mind.
Spoiler allert: the Luv Egg is not bad at all! Finally an affordable egg that does have good vibrations.
What is Luv Egg?

So, the Luv Egg is a vibrating egg with a wireless remote control. It is available in three colors: pink, blue and green. We got the green one. Luv Egg is a brand of EDC, which also happens to be the company behind EasyToys.
The Luv Egg is made of safe soft silicone. Further more it is completely waterproof. That is always a good thing. Not only can you take it with you in the shower or bath (or in this case a public pool – just saying), but it also a breeze to clean it under running water.
The box says that you can switch between 10 vibration patterns.
Unboxing

The Luv Egg sits in a cute modern transparent cube. You could give it as a present to your best friends like this. Apart from the egg and the remote, the box contains a USB-charging cable and a piece of aper with some safety warnings.
I do mis some kind of storage bag. This toy consists of three elements (egg, remote, cable) and they wil get lost in my night stand between all the other sex toys and different cables. Minor issue here.
The box contains a warning: ‘for external use only’. Don’t be fooled by this. The egg is definitely intended for internal use, but sex toy manufacturers print this on the package to avoid being seen as a medical device (with associated regulations).
At first sight we found the periwinkle color a bit off. Like it was bleeched by the sun. It kind of reminded me to those winegums with natural colorants. You know: the kind that is supposed to be healthier, but just look less tasty. Ah well, a matter of taste I guess?
What was striking from the start, is that the egg is havier that we thought (40 grams). And that is good. It is abut 7 centimeter long and little less than 3 centimeter in girth. The silicone indeed feels nice and soft, but does attrackt a little dust. Fortunately, you can just wash that away under runing water (waterproof, remember?).

Straight out of the box, the Luv Egg needs charging before use. Simply prick the cable in the specified place (don’t be afraid, you won’t brake it). A light will burn while charging. We have abolutely no clue how long t was supposed to charge, but after a few minutes it started working already. The remote works on a button cell battery. Don’t forget to remove the paper that protects the battery before use.

You can operate the egg in two different ways. First, you can use the tiny button on the egg itself. After each press of the button, you will flip to the next position. That might be convenient for external use, for instance when you press it against your sensitive body parts (just let your fantasy run wild). When you hold the button for three seconds, it will shut down again.
But the most obvious way is using the remote control. Especially because this one has five buttons:
- First switch on the egg. Now push the on/off button of the remote. The egg will start to vibrate on the first position.
- With the waved buttons (<< and >>) you can scroll through the different patterns. There are 6 patterns, of which the first one is a constant vibration.
- With the + and – buttons you can adjust the intensity in 4 different levels.
But wait a minute. The box talks about 10 patterns? That is 6+4. But in reality there are 6×4 = 24 patterns!
The‘test drive’
Now for the fun part for every sex toy tester: bringing the egg into action. It is always recommended to use lube when using a sex toy. The package of the Luv Egg recommends water based lube. That’s because this toy is made of silicone. There is a chance that the material will get affected when you use silicone based lube. When you don’t have a drawer full of all kinds of lube, like us, you might want to order some water based lube when you buy this toy.
First, we used the toy externally. Even then some lube is recommended. I (male) got the remote and my partner (female) held the Luv Egg against her labia and clitoris. She is very impressed by the low frequency vibrations (in the lowest intensity setting). They are quite deep. But also the higher intensity levels are really intense! It is really nice when you can play with the remote and tease her. There should be much more toys with << and >>, and + and – buttons! I got the feeling our ‘<<‘ button didn’t respond well. But that didn’t keep me to try all of the possibilities on my partner [insert mean laughter].
My laughing didn’t last long, because she decided to reverse the roles. Who said you can’t use an egg with a man? I pressed the egg against the frenulum and she controls the vibrations. OK, then! Those vibrations are not bad at all! What is also striking is that the egg is very quiet, which makes it very discrete.
Then we apply some more lube on the egg and it’s now time to insert the Luv Egg with her. Normally I am not a big fan of vibration patterns. Usually a constant vibration of which you can adjust the intensity levels is much more effective. But with the Luv Egg it is big fun to see the response when the patterns changes.
With other eggs we’ve used, the radio signals of the remote were to weak once the egg was inserted, making the egg not as responsive as you might want. The body often blocks the radio waves of the remote. With the Luv Egg that is very different! Even when I am like 5 meters away in the bath room, while she is on the bed in the bathroom, I still was able to operate the egg.
The silicone cord makes it easy to remove the egg. Cleaning is easy by just holding it under warm running water, using some disinfecting soap potentially. When you really want to take good care of your toys, you might want to consider using some toy cleaner.
The key question for the Luv Egg is – just like with all other vibrating eggs: what about orgasms? Let’s put it this way: When using the egg externally, you might. The low constant vibrations were deep enough and with some patience we definitely would have managed to make her orgasm. And with me? When we would have put our minds to it, I am sure we could. But an egg like this is just great fun in foreplay. It is extremely exciting to pass the control to your partner. The Luv Egg not only makes her extremely horny, but the partner will get excited just by having control and watching the effect on her.
Conclusion
We have tested the Luv Egg together between the walls of our bedroom. And that was big fun. The vibrations are impressive and the remote makes it easy to play with the different settings. This little thing will go with us when we are going out and we already look forward to that!
The pros of the Luv Egg:
- Remote control with 5 buttons, which not only makes it easy to scroll through the different patterns (with << and >>), but also to adjust the intensity per setting (+ and -).
- The remote works even on meters distance, even when the egg is inserted.
- Pretty impressive vibrations and surprising patterns.
- 100% waterproof, so easy to clean and can be used in the shower or bath.
- Chargeable with the USB cable provided.
- Nice price.
- Also very suitable for persons that are new to sex toys.
The cons:
- Bit of a vague color.
- The ‘<<’ button didn’t work very well with us.
- No storage bag supplied.
- And no manual. The operation might speak for itself. And I get it that you don’t want to print booklets and it might not even fit in the package. But an online PDF with some basics might come in handy sometimes.
The Luv Egg is forsale at EasyToys or in our own shop. It costs €49,95.
