There is an American saying that goes something like this: ‘Opinions are like assholes; everybody has one’. EasyToys asked me to review their silicone buttplug set and below you can read my opinion (and that of my and my partner’s anus).
The last couple of years, butt plugs have become more popular than ever. Finally, people are beginning to realize that these toys are great fun for both people with penises as for people with a vagina, regardless of their sexuality.
Why would you buy a butt plug? What to look for when you buy one?
Everyone that has ever had their anus touched or licked, will agree that it is a very sensitive area. The step to insert an object into that tiny sensitive hole is just a small one. But not all objects are suitable for that purpose. Many people end up in the E.R. because someting ‘accidentally’ got stuck in there. If you do want to experiment with anal sex, it is always better to use a sex toy specifically designed for that.
The anus is teeming with nerve ends. That is why everyone – man or woman – can enjoy their anus being stimulated. Even the smallest butt plug, that doesn’t have to be big or go in deep, can be a a big pleasure.
A well designed butt plug has a kind of reversed T-shape. There must be a base to prevent the object from slipping in entirely and that acts as a handle to get it out when you’re done.
Hygiene is extremely important. I don’t have to tell you that there are all kinds of bacteria in your behind. That is why it is important to choose butt plugs of non porous materials that are easy to clean.
So why a butt plug set?
If you do not own a butt plug yet, you might wonder what size would feel nice for you. Won’t it be too big, or perhaps too small? With a butt plug set, like this one from EasyToys, you can experiment with different sizes. Start with the smallest and of that feels nice, try the next one. When you get used to the size of the middle one, try if you are ready for the biggest plug.
The EasyToys Silicone Butt plug Set
There are three but plugs in this set, all made of silicone. This is a very soft material that feels really pleasant, is bendable, but is yet not porous. It is a body safe and hygienic material. It is better to apply water based lube only on silicone toys, because some silicone based lubes might affect the silicone of your toy. That is not necessarily the case, but it could. And that would be a shame.
Alle butt plugs in this set have the same shape, but they differ in size and weight.
The smallest one is 9 cm long, 2,8 cm in girth and weighs 41 gram.
The middle one is 12 cm long, 3,7 cm in girth and weighs 100 gram.
The largest one is 14 cm long, 4,3 cm in girth and weighs 158 gram.
This is not the first toy that I test from EasyToys and just like the others, this one too was wrapped in transparent foil. The package is neat, decent, professional and contains all the information you need.
But wait. It says ‘for external use’ on the package. Isn’t that odd? Well, no, actually not. You see, manufacturers of sex toys often place this on their package, because they want to prevent the toy from being seen as a medical device. If it is not a medical device, legal requirements and import duties are much lower. So it is perfectly safe to insert this in your behind. Litterarly.
Within the carton package is some kind of transparent blister package. Decent. Nothing wrong with that.
The plugs indeed feel wonderful and soft. They are heavier than I would have thought, and – believe me – that is a good thing.
The ‘test drive’
It strikes me that the plugs are completely odorless. Call me a sissy, but I cleaned them thoroughly, nevertheless, for first use. You just never know.
What is very good with these plugs, is that they all have a flat T-base. Some other plugs sometimes have a ring or a round basis. The biggest advantage of this type of base, is that it is much easier to wear underneath your clothing, and it gives you much more freedom to move around, should you want to do that.
I used some personal water based lube, that I applied both on the plug and on myself. The smallest plug is really easy to insert. It is just slightly thicker than an average finger. It feels rather nice, but I also notice I can handle a bit more.
The middle one is immediately a lot thicker! That 0.9 centimeter is a huge difference! The weight and size makes me feel ‘filled’ quite good.
The biggest one is again another 0.6 centimeters bigger and for me (male) that is just about too much. Yet. Who knows, later. My partner (female) can handle a lot more than me. For her the largest one (that I obviously cleaned before inserting it to her) was good to handle.
Cleaning and maintenance
These butt plugs are really easy to clean. Just hold them under running warm water, and use some mild disinfecting soap. If you – just like me – ever use silicone kitchen tools, you know that even though silicone is not porous, it still can take on color and odor. Shit happens. The big advantage of black is that you won’t notice any coloration. When I wrote this review, I had only used the plugs for a short time (I didn’t wear them for hours in a row). After washing with some mild soap, they hadn’t taken on odor.
These three different butt plugs are of very good quality, are safe in use, feel great and soft, and have a nice shape. This set is very appropriate for beginners. When you are not exactly sure what size would fit you best, this set gives you some room for experimenting. When the largest one is too big for you, try again later when you are more used to the middle one.
De pros of the EasyToys Siliconen Butt plug set:
- Body safe material
- T-shape is very suitable for wearing under your clothes, or move around
- Easy to clean
- Suited for everybody, no matter what gender or sexual preference you have
- Nice price
- It is a pity that the step from the smallest to the middle one is rather big. For beginners, it would have been nice if there would have been a step in between.
