EasyToys has a new line of products that you can control with an app on your smartphone. I tested the Ivy and below you can read all about this vibrating plug. Also, I reviewed the Zara panty vibe and the Leo cockring from the same product range.
What is the EasyToys Ivy?
The EasyToys Ivy is a silicone plug that you can insert and wear (anally). It has a little bit of a ‘penis shape’. By this I mean that the head is a bit thicker. Because it has a wide base, it is also suitable for anal use. That wide base also stimulates the perineum with a powerful motor.
The plug is made of body-safe silicone and is pink in color. Controlling the Ivy is done with the ‘EasyConnect’ app, or with a button on the bottom of the plug. With the button or the app, you can use 9 different vibration patterns. The app also allows you to freely vary patterns and vibration strengths on a ‘touchpad’ on your screen. You can also relinquish control by giving your phone to someone else, or by inviting someone to take control.
The app also has a ‘recording function’. This allows you to record the patterns you use during a session for next time.

Unboxing
The Ivy comes in a rectangular cardboard box with a magnetic closure. By loosening the magnetic clasp, you open the box like a booklet. You then see the Ivy behind a little window. The cover contains the most important feature information. You can detach the window by removing a cardboard strip. Besides the Ivy, the box also contains a USB charging cable and a manual. All in all, it is a very neat and professional presentation that feels good and exudes confidence.
The packaging says you have to charge the Ivy with a magnetic cable, but that’s not the case! You have to insert the cable into the Ivy in the designated hole.
The test drive
Because of the shape and design of this plug, it can be used both anally and vaginally. And because you can control it (or have it controlled) via an app, you can also wear it discreetly under your clothes, for example when you go to the movies together, go for a walk, or when you go to a festival. Let your imagination run wild.
The Ivy is slightly thicker than my thumb and slightly thinner than two fingers. That makes it a very pleasant thickness for me to wear anally. If you use enough water-based lubricant and are relaxed enough, insertion is fairly easy. Once you manage to insert the head, you can slowly push it in deeper. The curved head gets nice and deep and stimulates the prostate or G-spot.
In anal use, I (cis-man) clearly notice that it contains two motors. One makes the head vibrate and the other the wide base that comes against the perineum. The vibrations are nice and hard and deep. The shape and vibrations make the Ivy a delightful plug that stimulates wonderfully.
However, this plug can also be nice for vagina owners. It is not too big, but the intense vibrations and the possibility of remote control make it a very exciting toy. The bottom that comes against the perineum when used anally can stimulate the outer part of your vulva and is then definitely felt against your clitoris as well (according to my cis-wife partner).
When EasyToys asked me to test the Ivy, the app was not yet officially available in the apps store and so I used a beta test version. The app itself is easy to use and basically self-explanatory. Still, connecting the app to the Ivy was not very easy. Somehow you have to press the button on the bottom just long enough to get it into “discoverable” mode for your bluetooth. Indeed, if you hold the button down too long, the Ivy goes into a “transport” mode. It’s a bit of fiddling every time you want to connect until it works.
In the EasyConnect app, you can pair multiple toys from EasyToys that support this feature. The toys come in a proverbial “nightstand,” from which you can choose one to play with. However, you can always control only one toy at a time. That’s a bit of a shame, especially if, for example, you use both the Ivy plug and the Leo Cockring from EasyToys at the same time.
Perhaps the best part of the app is the “free touch” mode. In it, your screen is a large playing field. Moving your finger more to the right increases the vibration intensity. And as you slide your finger upward you get into a different pattern. So by moving from left to right and top to bottom, you get into different zones of patterns and strengths each time. Very entertaining, especially when you are in control and the plug is inserted in the other person! [insert devilish laugh]
Giving someone else control, by the way, is very easy. Both persons must have the app on their phone. The person with the toy can invite the other. If you are both connected to the Internet then the other person – wherever they are – can take control of your toy. What I personally really like is that you only relinquish control for one session. Once you leave the ‘long range play’ screen, the link no longer works.
We – my partner and I – found the Ivy very exciting to use.
Cleaning
As with any toy, it is recommended to clean it thoroughly before the first use and after each use. Fortunately, the Ivy is waterproof, so it is and issue of rinsing under the tap with lukewarm water and some mild soap. Easy! 😊 It goes without saying that you clean a toy properly after anal use before using it vaginally. Right?
By the way, if you’re going to use the Ivy yourself along with the app, make sure you have a damp cloth handy. Because when inserting it, you’ll want to use lube lavishly, and you don’t want the lube to get on your phone screen. So first connect the Ivy to your phone’s bluetooth, then insert with plenty of lube, then clean hands and only then grab your phone again. #justsaying
Conclusion
The Ivy is a nice versatile toy for both vaginal and anal use. The vibrations are nice and powerful and the app control is great for both solo use and when you want to let go of control. The shape and size makes this toy suitable for novice and advanced users alike. As with many anal toys, using the toy alone (anal) is not enough for orgasm with me, but it does help to get very aroused. The toy is highly recommended for anyone looking for something innovative off the beaten path.
