About 3 months ago, the Dutch Instagram account ‘Vunzig Punniken‘ (dirty embroidery) was launched. It’s an account filled with erotic embroidery. When asked, Nancy, the artist behind the account, let’s us know that she has been embroidering for some time. She admits – fair is fair – that she is inspired by some other Pinterest and Instagram accounts, but she always tries to give her own personal and filthy direction to each work.
Furthermore, Nancy is inspired by her daily life and the stories that people tell her. When friends have an exciting anecdote to tell about their sex life, her imagination starts to run wild. “It just has to be turned into embroidery”. It is also very addictive. Her boyfriend often has to stress that one work a day should be enough, otherwise she just keeps doing it.
Her main goal is to remove the taboos that surround sex. She tries to go through life without any taboos. What is more fun than talking about sex? And a work like this above the fireplace, isn’t that just neat? So what if the visitors see it? Everybody has sex and everyone does it his own way.
