Odor affects us, perhaps more than we’d like to believe. We previously wrote about how pheromones and so-called “poop and pee scents” influence our choice of partners. In that article we also briefly mentioned ‘copulins’. But what are copulins and how do they actually work?
The vagina as the ultimate perfume
The short explanation is that copulins are secreted by the vagina at the peak of ovulation (so at the time when you as a woman are most fertile) and the idea is that – if you use that liquid as a perfume – it would drive men crazy with (sexual) desire. So basically, by using copulins, you signal to men that you are fertile. The scent of copulins is described as butter that is separating. In short: you smear some of your own moisture behind your ear and men go crazy? Something like that.
Effect on men
As women age they produce fewer copulins, as well as when they are on medication.
Research shows that that scent influences men’s behavior. These studies show that testosterone levels in men increase by up to 150% within 10 to 15 minutes of being exposed to copulins.
Copulins and pheromones: confusing
Technically copulins are not pheromones, but they do have a similar effect. That is why they are often mentioned in the same thread. Pheromones are hormones while copulins are a fatty acid secreted by the vagina. Pheromones make a woman attractive to men, but copulins can make a man submissive or dominant toward the woman whose scent he smells. The effect is very different on different individuals. A man, after smelling the copulins, may want to please the woman and buy her presents. There is in some cases no limit to what the man will then give to the woman.
How it works
Copulins can be transmitted from woman to man by air or through sexual intercourse. Glands in the vagina produce the substance and it is exposed to the air. Even when the woman breathes, the glands move enough to release the substance. It takes a while for (say after a bath) the copulins to surround her and clothing in turn has an inhibiting effect on that.
Copulins are produced when the woman becomes excited and especially during the period when she is most fertile. Simultaneously with the “opening” of the vagina, the glands secrete fluid containing copulins. This fluid facilitates penetration.
The smell is picked up by the man and he mistakes it for neurotransmitters (the link between the brain and the body). This causes the man to think he needs to do certain things. Moreover, copulins are also addictive. In addition, the man produces a hormone that non-fertile women find repulsive.
Furthermore, it has the effect on men that the disguised neurotransmitters temporarily shut down the part to the memories. This puts the man in a state where he can no longer think and reason properly. We therefore sometimes say that he “thinks with his dick.”
And then another strange thing happens. It seems that the man then only “listens” to the woman producing the copulins he smells. In this way, the woman can influence what the man remembers, his senses, his opinions, or even program commands (which she can later execute). So it is somewhat like hypnosis.
(Ab)using your copulins
“So if I understand correctly I can make him promise things he doesn’t want?”
Yes. But the effect becomes greater the longer the man and woman are together. A woman therefore has more influence than a mistress. Then again, it doesn’t go so far that she can make the man do things that go against his principles (like robbing a bank, or killing someone).
Tips & trics
In the missionary position (position: man on top), copulins arrive least easily. As a woman, consider sitting on him. Then don’t move, but let nature do its work. Due to the presence of the penis in the vagina, more fluid will be released making it easier for the copulins to be perceived by the man.
The effect of copulins is different from person to person. So a woman will have a different effect on different men and conversely a man will also react differently to the copulins of different women. So it is impossible to predict what the end result will be. Sometimes the man becomes submissive, but it also happens that the man becomes very dominant from certain copulins.
Some perfumes claim to contain copulins, but we prefer the real deal.
