When I first saw the Cocksicle vibrators, I was immediately enthusiastic. Visions of my partner in a schoolgirl’s uniform, who – with or without pony tails – mischievously licks this ‘popsicle’ after which she does all sorts of naughty things, popped through my mind. Let’s just say that it stimulated my imagination and that I could completely follow the mindset of the designers. But how is this ice-cream vibrator in real life?
Spoiler alert: I have mixed feelings…
What is a Cocksicle vibrator?
According to the ‘Urban Dictionairy’, a cocksicle is the result of a good blowjob in the great outdoors, while it freezes. Because the saliva would then freeze, the penis in question looks like a popsicle.
The cocksicle that we are talking about here is something completely different. That is a vibrator in the form of a lollipop. There are three different Cocksicles: Pleasin ’Purple (purple), Ticklin’ Pink (pink), and Fizzin’ Fuschia (magenta). I received the latter from EasyToys in exchange for an honest review.
Cocksicle is a brand of the XR Brands company , which I mainly know from various well-intended innovations such as rotating or thumping butt plugs. With these Cocksicles they seem to want to appeal to a more mainstream audience.
Specs & functions of the Cocksicle vibrator
I think all Cocksicles vibrators are exactly the same, except in the color scheme.
The Cocksicle has 10 vibration positions, 3 of which are constant vibrations in different speeds and 7 patterns. The outside is made of silicone. The input depth is 16 centimeters and at the thickest point the vibrator is 4 centimeters in diameter. That is very decent by the way! The Cocksicle is also slightly flexible.
The Cocksicle is also splash-proof. That means that you can take it with you in the shower, but that you cannot immerse it. You can charge this vibrator with a supplied USB cable.
But the most unique thing about this vibrator is of course its design! All three look like colorful and cheerful popsicles.
Unboxing the Cocksicle vibrator
The Cocksicle comes in a colorful package that looks a bit like the box of a a Barbie doll. You know: with a window. A missed opportunity, if you ask me. I would have implemented that concept of a popsicle much further and also imitated the packaging of an ice cream. Anyway, what you see is what you get.
In addition to the vibrator, there is also a USB charging cable and two user manuals; a short one and one that is a little more extensive.
The first feeling that this toy evokes is a kind of childish joy. The colors, the shape of an ice cream … I dare you to stop smiling!?
The ‘test drive’
I am a man so I always push the manual aside immediately. How hard can it be, right? Immediately after unpacking you first want to charge the Cocksicle. But. Where. Does. The. Plug. Go? So, it proved that it makes sense to read the F*in’ manual. In order to be able to charge the Cocksicle, you first have to unscrew the handle (the ‘stick’ of the popsicle). You understand my surprise, right? You have to puncture the charger through the silicone outer layer, where the handle used to be. The on / off button lights up and starts to flash. Charging takes a maximum of 3 hours and then you can use the Cocksicle for 1 hour. Yes, you read that right: 3 hours!
Of course I don’t have time for that. After 10 minutes of charging, I thought it was enough. It is not necessary to put the stem back on, but it does make it easier to handle the Cocksicle.
If you hold down the on / off button for a few seconds, the thing will start to vibrate. Holy moly! That’s pretty impressive. It immediately turns out to be the most intensive setting. That was quite a shock. If you then press the on / off button again, it vibrates a little less violently. Every time you press that button, you go to the next position. After the last position you automatically return to the first position. If you press the button for a few seconds again, the thing turns off. The next time you turn the Cocksicle back on, it starts in the position you last used.
My partner (female) and I (male) don’t like patterns that much. We prefer to vary with the constant vibrations. That is always a bit tricky with this type of one button controls. We prefer to build it up: first soft and then slowly harder. But here you start with the fastest, then softer, then very soft and then 7 more patterns. The last vibrating pattern is completely insane (in an unpleasant way), because it randomly uses all patterns. We found this totally inconvenient.
The vibrations are very good in themselves. And the Cocksicle is also nice and thick. This combination should make it a great toy for both external (clitoris) and internal (vagina) use. This toy is not recommended or anal use. Because of the ‘torpedo’ shape, the thing could just completely shoot into you and it would be almost impossible to remove it. So don’t!
Yet it is in particular the shape and the finish that makes us not very enthusiastic about this toy. The pieces of the different colors do not fit seamlessly. The ribs are not very pleasant when penetrating, but rather sharp. If you bend the Cocksicle, a kind of edge is shown between the tracks, which causes that unpleasant feeling. Not only that; eventually all sorts of dirt and bacteria will accumulate between those edges, to which no toy cleaner can cope.
Conclusion
The Cocksicle vibrator in the shape of a popsicle is a fun gimmick. Certainly if you like role-playing with schoolgirl uniforms or other age-play fetish games. The design is cheerful and different from everything that is currently for sale. The Cocksicle has very decent vibrations that feel firm and deep.
But … the transitions between the different color bands make it feel less pleasant (for my partner – but that can be personal). Moreover, the thing is therefore not easy to clean.
The pros of the ‘Cocksicle’:
- Nice design
- Pleasant material (silicone)
- Flexible
- olid deep vibrations
The cons:
- To be able to charge the Cocksicle, you must first remove the ‘stick’ from the Popsicle
- Not waterproof, but splash-proof
- The order of the vibration patterns is not logical
- Edges between the color bands are not hygienic
