As one of only 30 ‘journalists’ in the world, I had the honor to receive the new Autoblow AI directly from inventor Brian Sloan. As the name suggests, it is a machine that mimics a blowjob. About a year ago, I wrote about Sloan’s Indiegogo campagne, to develop this toy. The fact that I now received a sample, proves he succeeded. Thousands of people from 45 different countries have brought together $710,000.- . Sloan used this money to develop this blowjob machine, based on Artificial Intelligence. The Autoblow AI will be launched today (September 26th, 2019) for the general public.

What is the Autoblow AI?

Until now, all mechanical masturbators – including predecessor Autoblow 2+ – have been simple devices that just made some thrusting movements. Sloan did research with a team of scientists, applying machine learning on over 8,000 minutes of (porn) video, depicting oral sex on men. They extracted 16 different movements during blow jobs. These have now been applied as building blocks in the Autoblow AI (Artificial Intelligence).

What it comes down to, is that the Autoblow AI works with a patented mechanism that grabs and massages the penis.

The Autoblow AI doesn’t actually work with artificial intelligence. Just so you know. The device doesn’t change it’s behavior based on your preferences. Unfortunately, technology isn’t this advanced yet.

Specs & functions of the Autoblow AI

Like most masturbators, the Autoblow AI has a TPE sleeve. This is a soft and skin like material. The sleeve is grabbed by the mechanism of the Autoblow AI. This way, the sleeve is moved over the penis, as it were.

The Autoblow AI has 10 different movement patterns, each with 10 different speeds. The + and – buttons are to change speeds, and the ‘play’ button is for changing patterns. During play, you can use the pause button, to postpone your orgasm and have a real edging experience.

Based on the research of Sloan and his team, the following patterns have been developed:

1. Full stroke: Strokes the maximal length.
2. Intense edge: 3 seconds movement, 2 seconds pause.
3. Fast Edge: 15 seconds movement, 2 seconds pause.
4. Teasing slow stroke: two movements, followed by a half second pause.
5. Top stroke: Strokes close to the opening f the sleeve (at the base of the penis).
6. Bottom stroke: Strokes at the top of the sleeve (near the head).
7. Top & bottom strokes: Alternates patterns 5 and 6.
8. Masterstroke 1: A combination of 5, 6 and 1.
9. Masterstroke 2: Like 8, but with different speeds.
10. Full AI experience: Random combination of all different patterns and speeds.

Furthermore, the sleeves are replaceable. When your sleeve is worn out, you can buy new ones. The Autoblow AI does not work on batteries, but you have to plug it in.

Unboxing

The size and weight (over 1.5 kg) of the box, already reveal that this is not a small toy.

On the back of the box, a cross section of the Autoblow AI is shown, giving you a pretty good idea of the impressive technology that is inside of this machine.

On the side is a short explanation of the machine in seven different languages. Unfortunately, Danish and Dutch are swapped. Oh well, they’re such strange languages anyway! No American could hear the difference.

The box contains the Autoblow AI machine. The sleeve is already in there. Further more, there is an adapter with a 3 meter cord, an extensive manual, a leaflet with a reference to an instruction video for use and cleaning, and a little rod to push the sleeve back in its place (after cleaning).

The sleeve has an opening, that resembles a mouth. Kinda logical, when you consider that this thing is supposed to mimic a blow job. Duh! The inside of the sleeve has little structure; only some mild rings. On the outside of the sleeve are some heavy cambers, that connect the sleeve to the mechanism of the Autblow AI.

The test drive

Straight out of the box, the Autblow AI is ready for usage. The only thing you need to do is plug in the adapter in the machine and in the power socket. Then you should apply some water based lube on your penis and on the opening of the sleeve. Now it’s just a matter of shoving in your penis and go!

The sleeve feels nice and tight. The major challenge is to find yourself a good position to use the rather big Autoblow AI. Of course, you can just sit down, or lay on your back and hold the machine in your lap. Or, you might put it on the table, on the bed, or some solid surface, so you can stand in front of it, or lay on top. I liked it best to just lay on my back. The thing is rather heavy and this way gravity helped to penetrate this thing nice and deep.

At the bottom is a slider to turn the machine on. The ‘gril’ above the slider switch now turns green. On top are four buttons to control the different patterns and speeds. The ‘play’ button is to switch patterns and the + and – buttons are to make it go faster or slower. And the pause button will freeze the program.

When I tested the predecessor – the Autoblow 2+ – my conclusion was that it made a lot of noise. The package of the Autoblow AI promises that the sound level is cut in half. Well, maybe, but it is still seriously noisy! Yes, the feeling was nice – really it is – but the sound kept distracting me. It was like I had a blowjob by a French bulldog or a little piglet!

But now the most important question: Does it feel like a good blowjob? Wel, uhm, noho! I don’t know what the outcome of that research of porn movies was, but a blowjob is so much more than fucking someone in the throat. Fellatio is also subtle licking of the shaft, and moving the tongue against the frenulum and the balls, using the hands, or just take the glans in the mouth every now and again. I also mis some suction power, like the Tenga for instance. Now, it just seems like the research team watched some formula 1 races and now say they know what it should be like to drive a car. Well, no. Maybe the feeling comes close to a deep throat, and the noise might even resemble someone who is gagging, because the penis is just to deep in the throat … but that’s where the resemblance stops.

Isn’t it a good feeling, then? Oh, yes it is! It feels great. And the mechanism is much better than that of the Autoblow 2+. It has more grip and more variation. And it is not very hard to have an orgasm with this Autoblow AI.

Cleaning

It’s fairly simple to clean the Autoblow AI. It is just a matter of removing the sleeve, turning it inside out, hold it under running water (you might want to use some mild soap), dry, turning the sleeve back, and place it back in the machine. Use the little rod to push the sleeve back in place. If you leave the rod in the sleeve, you can prevent it from sticking together.

Conclusion

The amount of research that has been done by Sloan and his team, to come to the different patterns, is impressive. But if you look at what this machine really is, than it is actually ‘just’ an ordinary mechanical masturbator. With a lot of fantasy, the feeling might resemble a blowjob, but in fact it is more ‘milking’. Yes, the feeling is nice, but please. This doesn’t even come close to a good blowjob.

And then there is the noise. When you – just like me – have housemates, they might think you’ve hidden a pet in your bedroom. My brother in law has a French bulldog that doesn’t grunts this loud. The sound level is not very discrete.

But I must say that the mechanism is rather brilliant. You can adjust the speed of any pattern, so there is always a position that makes it impossible not to come. Plug in your earbuds, put on some porn, and goooooo!

When there is anything I would like to change to the Autoblow AI – besides the noise – I would add some vibration to the sleeve (somewhere near the frenulum). That could mimic the grunting and moaning of a person that gives the blowjob. At least, that could be the marketing story. Really, mister Sloan, I guarantee that it would make your device the bomb!

The pros of the Autoblow AI:

• The TPE Sleeve feels nice and soft
• Very easy to use
• Speed of each of the different patterns can be adjusted
• Works on power line, so no charging time and never weak or worn out batteries
• 3 meters of cable is always sufficient
• Replaceable sleeve, so a good long term investment
• Easy to clean

The cons:

• Very loud and not very discrete
• Big and heavy machine
• The Autoblow AI is not water resistant and must be plugged in. You can never use this under the shower or near water.
• Works on power line, so you can only use it when you are near a power socket.
• No real artificial intelligence

The Autoblow AI is available from 26th, September 2019 at Autoblow.com, but no doubt it will be available from Dutch online shops soon.

UPDATE: We’ve received a response from Brian Sloan:

“We are aware that Danish and Dutch were swapped, actually, its Swedish, not Danish. It was too late to replace the boxes so as I mentioned, the EU products will have small stickers covering those languages. I am well aware of the difference between the languages. I lived in Germany for 3 years and in China for 10 years so I had many Dutch and Danish friends. 
One important correction is that this is the only masturbator that uses a 100% silicone sleeve. That is not TPE. 
And if you think our machine is big, I guess you haven’t seen the closest competing device, the Fleshlight Launch which is more than twice the size! 
Also just FYI, it may appear an ordinary motor system but in fact we were granted a US utility patent on it because it is so different from any other system invented before.”
