Research shows that we humans are creatures of habit when it comes to masturbating. We mainly do it in bed at night. No less than 60% of men and 70% of women have a fixed routine and only 1 in 10 experiments with self-love. Is that bad? No. Is it unfortunate? Yes! Because not only is there a lot to discover, it is also known that ‘new sex’ is better. And so I want to give everyone some tips on how to be a little more creative the next time you masturbate.
Tip 1: The power of water
With water nearby, there is always a possibility to help yourself to an orgasm. You can easily use a tap, a shower head and even the garden hose as a sex toy. All you need is a tap and plenty of water pressure. Aim the water jet on your most sensitive intimate parts and enjoy the feeling. You can also vary with temperature.
A powerful jet of water is good for the clitoris as well as the penis.
Tip 2: Fruits and veggies
The vegetable section of the local supermarket is stocked with sex toys. You are now thinking of cucumbers, zucchini, winter carrots and other phallus-like shapes? And yes, those too. But there’s more for example for thise with a penis. Have you ever considered that you can fuck an orange?
With fruit and vegetables and a little bit of imagination you can have a lot of fun adventures. But be careful with food. For example, always wash fruit and vegetables well first to remove sand or pesticides. And be careful that it doesn’t break and you end up in the ER with a leftover cucumber in your anus. For that reason, for example, always leave the peel on a banana! Also be careful with sugar(s) in fruit.
Tip 3: Mutual masturbation
Masturbating on your own is nice, healthy and simply a release from daily stress. That is why it is very unfortunate that it is not done much more often together with a partner. Mutual masturbation can be a terribly exciting and intimate activity. It’s safe, visually exciting, educational, yet terribly intimate.
Tip 3: Lube
Lube is so terribly underrated. But really! Whenever I bring it up with friends I always get the answer ‘they don’t need it’, because they are ‘wet enough of themselves’. That may be the case, but there is so much more! For example lubricant with additives. That’s instant libido in a bottle. Stimulating lubricants (also called “arousal gels” in English) are lubricants to which an extra ingredient has been added that provides extra stimuli. For example, they increase the blood flow to your most sensitive erogenous parts and therefore make them particularly sensitive to touch. Also, the erection of the clitoris or penis (just what you put it on) will increase because the blood supply is stimulated. Believe me, that makes masturbating a totally new experience!
Tip 4: ‘Till the edge
Of course you can take a quick hand on yourself. A few minutes of rubbing, polishing, pulling, pushing and humping, et voila. Edging is a form of orgasm control where you turn yourself on but not allow yourself to actually come. You are supposed to work towards an orgasm, but stop just in time. By repeating the delay of the orgasm three to five times and only then allowing an orgasm, you experience the orgasm more intensely
Tip 5: Nipples
Do you always go straight for your goal? Are you someone who puts your hand in your own pants and immediately touches that special place? Why don’t you take a detour? Because there is so much more to experience on and around your body. Your nipples, for example. There are women (and also a single man) who can have an orgasm solely from touching the nipples. It may take some practice (and some time too), but then you experience something completely different! Incidentally, there are also people who can get a foot orgasm. Who knows where you still have hidden erogenous zones ?!
Tip 6: From behind
Speaking of erogenous zones: do you involve your anus enough when masturbating? Your butt hole is very sensitive. Step over that idea that it’s dirty (that’s what they invented showers for) and give it a try. Put a little (stimulating) lubricant on it and stroke around your hole with your fingertip. Yummy? Then try gently pressing the tip of your finger against your hole. When you are relaxed enough, you will notice that your hole will ‘open’ almost on its own and you can easily push your fingertip in. Once you are used to this feeling and you like it, try an anal toy.
Tip 7: Literature to read singlehandedly
Masturbating and fantasizing often go hand-in-hand (pun intended). What excites your fantasy more than a good erotic story? Especially the kind of story you can read anytime as you can just look it up on your phone! And with your phone in one hand, you have another hand to treat yourself to.
Tip 8: Location, location, location
The bedroom and bathroom are consistently the most popular places to masturbate. ** YAWN**
Of course that is comfortable and pleasant and convenient. But is it horny? You masturbate when you’re horny and – frankly – that can be all day long, right? Even at times when there is no bed or shower available.
In addition, change of location can also be exciting. Even if it is just the idea that someone might catch you fingering your finger in the parking lot along the highway, or in the woods, or on the toilet at work.
Tip 9: Self play BDSM
Who doesn’t find BDSM exciting? Experimenting a bit with bondage, sado-masochism, submission or dominance. But how do you do that if you don’t have a partner? By just experimenting with yourself, you can discover what you like and don’t like about BDSM. Even without a partner, there are plenty of things you can do on your own if you are interested in BDSM.
Tip 10: No sex toy?
You don’t have a sex toy at home? Or you do have one, but the battery is empty? No worries. Your house is full of sex toys! Take a look in the kitchen. There are all kinds of things that you can use for sex. You just may not have thought about it that much. The only disadvantage is that afterwards you can never walk through the Dille & Kamille or the Ikea without giggling. And also keep in mind that after riding your partner you will prepare another meal there. So look for things that are easy to clean.
